Giorgio Rossi

Giorgio Rossi ( born April 1, 1948 in Rome ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.

Giorgio Rossi was active as an amateur bicycle racer on the track in the 1970s, mainly in the short-term disciplines. Four times he won at UCI Track World Championships third place, 1973 and 1974 Sprint and 1980 in tandem race, together with Florioano Finamore. In the UCI Track World Championships 1975 he became vice - world champion in sprint, behind the Frenchman Daniel Morelon. In 1975 he won the prestigious Sprint Classic Grand Prix de Paris, after which he was in 1971 already become a third party; twice - 1976 and 1979 - he finished second.

Twice launched Rossi at the Olympic Games he finished ninth in tandem race with Dino Verzini, 1976 eighth in the Sprint 1972.
