Giorgos Theodoridis

Giorgos Theodoridis (Greek Γιώργος Θεοδωρίδης, born July 3, 1980 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a Greek football player. The 1.74 m wide midfielder acts preferentially on the left offensive side.

Giorgos Theodoridis began his career in the youth divisions of the Greek traditional club Aris Thessaloniki. In 1997 he received at the second-rate at this time club his first professional contract and made his debut on 5 September 1998 for the first time in the first Greek league during the 0-1 home defeat against Panathinaikos Athens. Up to the second half of the 1998/1999 season, when he was loaned to Athinaikos Athens, Theodoridis Aris Thessaloniki remained faithful until the summer of 2002 and scored a total of 49 Erstligaeinsätzen three goals. In January 2003 - after Theodoridis was six months without a club - he joined Aris City and arch-rivals PAOK Thessaloniki. In PAOK managed Theodoridis to play in the starting line- and was one of the mainstays of the club, as this could win the Greek Cup in 2003. After 37 Erstligaeinsätzen for PAOK eventually moved Theodoridis 2005 Panathinaikos Athens, where he was until 2007 under contract. From 2007 to 2008 he played Lyttos Ergotelis in Crete. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved to Germany to second division FSV Frankfurt and arrived there on 14 games in which he scored a goal. After a year he returned to Greece, where he plays for Panetolikos Agrinio.
