Giovanna Gagliardo

Giovanna Gagliardo ( born December 12, 1941 in Monticello d' Alba ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Life

Gagliardo worked after a brief experience as an actress (1961 she played in Elio Petri's Dare Alfredo to a murder? ) As a journalist for Il Giorno, tempo Illustrato, Il Messaggero and La Repubblica. In 1967 she wrote a screenplay for the first time, where she wrote for television as well as for the big screen. Several times Miklós Jancsó was the director of these books. In 1977, she debuted as a director with Maternal, in which they described the changes in the Italian middle of the 1960s through the story of a mother-daughter relationship. After a TV film again there were two women at the center at Via degli specchi. In 1991 he was her date last feature film, which Gagliardo devoted documentary materials.
