Giovanna Ralli

Giovanna Ralli ( born January 2, 1935 in Rome) is an Italian actress.

Life

Ralli was already seven years old on camera: In Vittorio De Sica's I bambini ci guardano it was one of the eponymous children. As a teenager she played in the ensemble of Peppino De Filippo and the age of sixteen, she began her film career in Federico Fellini's Variety Lights. The artistic breakthrough came in 1959 with Roberto Rossellini's Il Generale della Rovere, where it has established itself despite minor role as a dramatic actress, especially since it undertook Rossellini again for a role.

Ralli 1964 won the Nastro d' Argento Italian Film Award for La fuga and was subsequently shown in a number of international productions. In the 1970s she managed the transition to mother roles they played until 1981. After ten years of absence, she then returned to Verso sera back to the big screen and plays since then reinforced on television.

1995 and 2003 she received the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
