Giovanni Antonio Fumiani

Giovanni Antonio Fumiano, Gian, (* 1645 in Venice, † 1710) was an Italian painter of the Baroque.

He went to Bologna with Domenico degli Ambrogi in the doctrine, but it is 1668 again detectable in Venice, where he painted the Virgin and Saints in San Benedetto. 1674 he painted for San Lorenzo in Vicenza, the virgin, the Pius V appears. He also painted for San Rocco in Venice and delivered cartons for the mosaics in San Marco. For San Pantalon in Venice, he created a large ceiling painting on canvas of a total of 25 by 50 m. It is one of the largest canvas painting in the world and has been executed by him from 1680 to 1704.
