Giovanni Battista Venturi

Giovanni Battista Venturi (* 1746 in Bibbiano, † 1822 in Reggio Emilia ) was an Italian physicist.

He is the discoverer of the eponymous Venturi effect. He also developed a venturi pump and the venturi.
