Giovanni Dragoni

Giovanni Andrea Dragoni (* around 1540 in Meldola, † 1598 in Lateran ) was an Italian conductor and composer.

Since he was a relative and pupil of Palestrina, he got on his intervention for the position of Kapellmeister at the Episcopal Church of St. John Lateran in Rome, which he held until his death. He created several works of sacred vocal music, including polyphonic madrigals and motets villanelles.
