Giovanni Francesco Zulatti

Giovanni Francesco Zulatti (* 1762 in Lixouri, † 1805) was a physician, a composer and a leading official of the Republic of the Ionian Islands.

Life

Giovanni Francesco Zulatti was born as the son of the physician Angelo Zulatti in Lixouri. He was also a doctor and was Director of the Military Hospital of Corfu. 1787/1788 was published in Venice his music theory works Della Forza della Musica. During the Republic of the Ionian Islands, he was Governor of the Territory Ithaque and signer of the Constitution of the Republic. Even after the establishment of the Russian protectorate of his post in 1803 was confirmed.
