Giovanni Maria Vian

Giovanni Maria Vian ( born March 10, 1952 in Rome ) is an Italian journalist, philologist, and university professor.

Life

After leaving school, Vian studied in Italy philology and then worked as an Italian university professor at the University of Rome for philology.

Since 2007, Vian is the editor of the Vatican newspaper L' Osservatore Romano.

In addition to his Department of patristics, he is also a scientific consultant for the Encyclopedia Treccani.
