Giovanni Palatucci

Giovanni Palatucci ( born March 31, 1909 in Montella, † February 10, 1945 in the Dachau concentration camp ) was an Italian police officer and Commissioner of Public Safety.

Life

1930 Giovanni Palatucci made ​​his military service as an officer cadet at Moncalieri. As a member of the Fascist Party, he studied jurisprudence in Turin, graduating in 1932 with a diploma. In 1936 he was hired as a volunteer Deputy Commissioner of Public Safety. A year later he was transferred to the police headquarters in the then Italian Fiume in Istria, where he the Tourist Office was first assumed.
