Giovanni Stroppa

Giovanni Stroppa ( born January 24, 1968 in Mulazzano, Italy ) is a retired Italian footballer and current football coach.

Playing career

Stroppa came from the youth of the AC Milan and was nominated in 1986 for the professional squad, came first but not used. To gain experience followed a two- year-long loan to AC Monza Brianza. After the end of the loan period he was with Milan celebrate winning the European Cup of Champions. He also was two -time winner of the UEFA Super Cup and the World Cup. In 1991, Stroppa to Lazio, scoring five goals in 50 games for the Laziali before they left in 1993 and joined the U.S. Foggia. But even this he left after a year and moved back to AC Milan. With this he was able, in 1994, become UEFA Super Cup winner and Italian Supercup winner.

Nevertheless Stroppa left the Rossonieri again in 1995 and moved to Udinese Calcio where eíhm get three goals in 45 games. In 1997 he moved on to Piacenza Calcio and played in three years 63 times in three goals. In early 2000 Stroppa decided to switching to Brescia, where he remained a long time but not again: He left Brescia after half a year, and then played two years for the CFC Genoa. This was his last major station before he started to make his career from 34 years fade away with smaller clubs. So he played for FC AlzanoCene 1909 AS Avelinno 1912, again for the U.S. Foggia and AC Chiari 1912.

For the Italian national football team Stroppa ran from 1993 to 1994 a total of four times.

Coaching career

Two years after the end of his professional career was Stroppa youth coach at AC Milan. He spent four years in the youth field before 2011 his first head coach station at FC Südtirol took. After a year he was introduced as the successor of Zdeněk Zeman at Delfino Pescara 1936 and should create the league after being a year earlier risen to the Serie A there. Stroppa was, however, on November 18, 2012 his resignation as coach of the Delfini known, had to return to Serie B at the end of the season.

At the beginning of the season 2013/14 undertook Spezia Calcio Stroppa as their new coach.
