Girifalco

Girifalco is an Italian town in the province of Catanzaro in Calabria with 6106 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Location and data

Girifalco is located 32 km southwest of Catanzaro on the eastern slopes of Serre. The neighboring municipalities are Amaroni, Borgia, Cortale, San Floro, Squillace and Vallefiorita.

Attractions

The ducal palace was built in the 17th century. At the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele is a baroque fountain. The parish church was built in 1905 and stands on the site of the former Dominican church.

The district Girifalco Lido is located on the Ionian Sea and is accessible to tourists.
