Gisela Stein

Gisela Stein ( born October 2, 1934 in Swinoujscie, Pomerania; † 4 May, 2009 Mohrkirch, Schleswig -Holstein) was a German actress.

Life

The training at the Wiesbaden-based drama school (1953 ) followed first engagements in Koblenz, Krefeld -Mönchengladbach and Food ( Erwin Piscator ). In 1960 stone at the State Theatre Theatres in Berlin, where she found her artistic home for nineteen years. In collaboration with directors such as Hans Lietzau ( Inge in Max Frisch's " Count Barren Land", 1961; Ranevskaya in Chekhov's " The Cherry Orchard", 1979) Fritz Kortner ( title role in Hebbel's ' " Maria Magdalena ", 1966), Niels -Peter Rudolph ( Elena in Chekhov's " Uncle Vanya ", 1977) and Günther Krämer ( title role in Schiller's Mary Stuart, 1977) they matured here up to be one of the great German character actresses.

Guest performances stone Schauspielhaus Zurich, at the Württemberg State Theatre in Stuttgart to Salzburg at the Festival. In 1979 she moved to Berlin and in 1980 the Munich Studio Theater, where she remained until 2001 and was entrusted by Dieter Dorn with other major tasks.

In Achternbusch " My Herbert" she was in a 1985 staging Tabori as Louise on stage. 1987 was followed by Jean Racine's " Phaedra " directed by Alexander Lang and " Penthesilea " also. Directed by Alexander Lang
