Gisselberg is a borough of the university town of Marburg in Marburg- Biedenkopf in Hesse.

Gisselberg is located on the river Lahn Marburg back south-west of Marburg. Federal highway 255 runs through the town, the main road at the eastern edge 3.

History

By 1300, the village was first mentioned, with the place name Goselberg. Between 1973 and 1975 a cemetery chapel was built as a church.

On 1 July 1974, until then independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Marburg.

In the village there is a church kindergarten, a community center and a football pitch. At the Lahn is the boathouse of the Marburg Rowing Club.
