Giulio Petroni

Giulio Petroni ( born September 21, 1917 in Rome, † January 31, 2010 ) was an Italian screenwriter and film director.

Life

Petroni began after school education and his film career with the short film Goethe a Roma and worked as a columnist for several newspapers. After the Second World War - Petroni had participated as partisan as supporters of the Communists - he went to Ceylon, where he was head of the local department of film and documentary turned; after his return he brought this on with a series of political documentaries. Even in his feature film work can be discovered political issues - particularly the Revolution Western Tepepa provides rich material for political analysis.

His first three films he made from 1959; after that he worked for the RAI until 1966 he returned back to the big screen and in particular reüssierte in the genre of spaghetti westerns. After the recovery, to the late 1970s, withdrawal from the film business, Petroni turned to writing.

Occasionally Petroni was listed under the pseudonym Jeremy Scott.
