Giuseppe Abbagnale

Giuseppe Abbagnale ( born July 24, 1959 in Pompei) is a former Italian rower. He won two Olympic gold medals and was a seven-time world champion.

Giuseppe Abbagnale ruled together with his younger brother Carmine Abbagnale and the coxswain Giuseppe di Capua over a decade the two contests with coxswain. At the 1992 Olympic Games and the World Cup 1993, the three lost to the British brothers Jonathan Searle and Greg Searle with her mate Garry Herbert.

In addition Giuseppe and Carmine Abbagnale also the youngest brother Agostino Abbagnale was a successful rower, who even won three Olympic gold medals. While the two older brothers always sat in the boot straps, Agostino was successful in the skull.
