Giuseppe Baresi (2009)

Giuseppe Baresi ( born February 7, 1958 in Travagliato (BS ), Italy ) is a retired Italian footballer and current coach. His brother Franco Baresi was also football players.

Career

In the club

Baresi began his career in 1977 with Inter Milan and played with the Nerazzurri until 1992. Overall, he ran 559 times in official matches for the guys from Milan. He was long time captain of the club and was at that time two times Italian Champion (1980, 1989), won the Coppa Italia twice (1978, 1982) and once the Italian Super Cup (1989) and the 1991 UEFA Cup. In 1992, he played for two years at FC Modena, before he ended his career for good.

In the National Team

International Giuseppe Baresi played 18 times for Italy, but could never score a goal there. Previously, he was active in the years 1977-1980 in the U -21 in his country. He made his debut in 1979 and participated in the European Football Championship in 1980 partly in the home country, where he finished fourth with the Italians. With the FIFA World Cup in Mexico in 1986, he left the team in the second round against France.

After playing career

After working as head of the youth department of Inter Milan long, he is there for the separation of the Association of Roberto Mancini in June 2008 Assistant coach Jose Mourinho, Rafael Benitez, Leonardo, Claudio Ranieri, Andrea Stramaccioni and now under Walter Mazzarri.

Baresis brother Franco was his entire career players in Inter's city rivals AC Milan.
