Giuseppe Biava

Giuseppe Biava ( born May 8, 1977 in Seriate, Bergamo Province) is an Italian football player.

Club career

Giuseppe Biava played in his youth at Atalanta Bergamo. At the age of 18 he moved to the then fourth division Albinese Calcio. 1998 merged his association with the SC Leffe for UC AlbinoLeffe and Biava played two more years there. After that, he was loaned for one season to AS Biellese 1902, before he again moved to AlbinoLeffe in 2001 and played there until the end of 2003. Due to his good performances he was in January 2004, committed by U.S. Palermo that after 32 years the first time mastered the promotion to Serie A at the end of the season. With the Palermo defender managed in the very first Erstligasaison a surprising 6th place, thus qualifying for the UEFA Cup. Goalscorer was then Luca Toni. In the following season, the Rosa Nero reached the qualification for the UEFA Cup, but favored by the football scandal in Italy. In June 2007, Biava extended his contract with Palermo until June 30, 2009. Spite of the extension he was already committed to a year later from league rivals Genoa.

Since February 2010, he plays in the first division club Lazio with a contract period to the end of Season 2013 / 14th
