Giuseppe Cipriani (racing driver)
Giuseppe Cipriani ( born June 9, 1965) is an Italian race car driver and entrepreneur. It occurs since 2010 in the Auto GP.
Career in motorsports
Cipriani started his motorsport career in 1988 in the Barber Saab Pro Series, which he finished in tenth place. In 1989 he moved for two years in the Italian Formula 3 Championship and went on to a total of eleven races. He had no points.
After Cipriani had his motorsport career in 1991 actually ended, he first returned in 2008 to two races of the Formula Palmer Audi in motorsport back. He then also took part in three races of the Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Cup. 2009, the Italians decided to continue his motor racing career at the age of 43 years and started the entire season in Formula Palmer Audi. With two ninth places for the best results, he finished 14th overall. 2010 Cipriani played his second season in Formula Palmer Audi and finished the season with a sixth place as best result in eleventh place overall.
After Cipriani had already Durango debuts at the final race weekend of the 2010 season in the Auto GP and occupies the 26th place in the standings, he was taken in 2011 of Durango for the entire season under contract. While his teammate Giovanni Venturini scored 76 points with wins, Cipriani reached 2 points. He finished the season in 20th place in the drivers' standings. 2012 Cipriani moved within the now renamed in Auto GP Series World Series Campos Racing. At the Hungaroring he was in the sprint race for a few laps in the lead, but did not manage to keep themselves in the longer term in the top flight. This weekend, he achieved his best Auto GP result with two sixth places. He finished 14th in the driver standings.
2013 Cipriani remained in the Auto GP. He received a cockpit at Ibiza Racing team, a new team, in which he is also co-owner.

Together with his father Arrigo he manages the luxury hotel and restaurant group " Cipriani ".
