Giuseppe Fava

Giuseppe Fava, also known as Pippo, ( born September 15, 1925 in Palazzolo Acreide, Sicily, † January 5, 1984 in Catania, Sicily ) was an Italian writer and playwright.

Life

In 1943 he moved to Catania and began to study law. In 1947 he completed his studies and in 1952 he began full-time as a journalist for the daily newspaper Espresso sera to work, where he remained until 1978. He also wrote plays, novels, property and screenplays. On January 5, 1984 he was murdered by the Mafia in Catania and indeed before he founded the theater in which his anti-Mafia piece L'ultima violenza was performed.

In his work he dealt among other things with the issues of violence and mafia.

Claudio Fava is the son of Giuseppe Fava.
