Giuseppe Gherardeschi
Giuseppe Gherardeschi ( born November 3, 1759 in Pistoia; † August 6, 1815 ) was an Italian conductor, organist and composer.

Life
Giuseppe came from a musical family. He received his first music lessons from his uncle Filippo Maria and his father Domenico, who was Kapellmeister at the Cathedral of Pistoia. Then he perfected his skills at the Neapolitan Conservatorio della Pietà dei Turchini under the wing of the composer Nicola Sala.
After completing his studies he married Alessandra Leporatti (first soprano of the church Maria dell'Umiltà ) by whom he had several children. He began his career as an organist in the same church 1795. In 1800 he succeeded his father as director of music at the Cathedral of Pistoia. This office he held until his death on August 6, 1815.
His works include various religious and secular composition work as instrumental, chamber and vocal music, an oratorio, and two operas.
