Giuseppe Mascara ( born March 24, 1979 in Caltagirone ) is an Italian football player.

Career

Mascara has already played for U.S. Avellino, Palermo, Genoa, AC Perugia and Catania Calcio, where he was one of the protagonists in the promotion to Serie A. The 2006/07 season was not perfect for the striker, according to several dismissals and suspensions he was slow in the season, but he finished satisfactorily in the end.

On March 1, 2009 became mascara beyond Italy attention by a " century - gate" of about 50 meters. In the game of Serie A U.S. Palermo against Catania, which ended 0-4, he took a few meters to the center line of a header edge volley and sent it in a high arc shot into the opponent's goal.

In February 2011, mascara moved to Napoli where he signed a contract until the end of the season 2011 /12. Since January 2012, he plays for Novara Calcio.

6 June 2009 debuted mascara under Marcello Lippi 's 3-0 friendly win against Northern Ireland in the Italian national team.
