Giuseppe Mori

Cardinal Giuseppe Mori ( born January 24, 1850 in Loro Piceno, Macerata, Italy Province; † September 30, 1934 ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Giuseppe Mori studied Catholic theology in Fermo and Rome. In 1874 he received the sacrament of Holy Orders, and then worked in the Diocese of Rome as a church pastor. In 1880 he received the honorary title of Papal Chamberlain secret. From 1885, he held various responsibilities in the Roman Curia, especially in the field of accounting. In 1908 he was Under-Secretary for the Congregation for the order of the sacraments. In 1916 he received the appointment as Secretary for Legal Affairs and in 1922 he was accepted as a cardinal deacon with the title Diakonia San Nicola in Carcere in the College of Cardinals. In 1933 he was by Pope Pius XI. while maintaining its titular church elevated to cardinal priests per hac vice. Giuseppe Mori died on September 30, 1934 in his hometown, where he was also buried.
