Giuseppe Papadopulo

Giuseppe Papadopulo ( born February 2, 1948 in Casale Marittimo ( PI), Italy ) is a retired Italian footballer and current coach.

Career

Papadopulo was a player at Lazio. He began his coaching career in 1984 in Cecina at an amateur club. After two years as assistant coach at ASD Caserta he began in 1987 at Sorrento Calcio in professional football. He was coach at Licata Calcio, a small Sicilian club in Serie B in 1989

After two more coach stations in Monopoli Calcio and Perugia, he led the 1993 club Acireale Calcio one marveled rise in the example Papadopulo series then worked for Avellino, Livorno and the club Fidelis Andria, with him also reached the summit in the B series.

After brief stops at Lucchese and Crotone Papadopulo had its most successful period from 2001 to 2004. In just three years, he led the AC Siena of Serie C1 in series with the A. Papadopulo Siena managed there even in the league.

In the season 2004/ 05 was Giuseppe Papadopulo coach of Lazio, these items were, however, at the end of the season. On 29 January 2006 he was the successor of Luigi Delneri in Palermo, where he was but already replaced in May by Francesco Guidolin.

On December 24, 2006 Papadopulo was engaged as coach of Serie B club U.S. Lecce. He led the southern Italian club in the 2007/ 08 season for promotion to Serie A, was in June 2008, but his resignation as coach of the Salentini known.

On 14 April 2009 Papadopulo followed the sacked Sinisa Mihajlovic as coach of the first division club FC Bologna. After a disappointing start to the season but he was late October 2009 released. He was succeeded by Franco Colomba.
