Gjiten

Gjiten is a work based on GTK / GNU / Linux dictionary for Japanese. It is released as free software under the terms of the GNU General Public License ( GPL). You can use it to look up both Japanese input as to settle written in Latin letters queries. Since a large number of dictionary files can be installed, gjiten is in principle not limited to translations from and to Japanese or from a certain language.

A kanji dictionary is available, the extensive information on the looked- Kanji supplies such as common and rare readings, radical information or the Unicode value (hexadecimal). In addition, with " kanjipad " an input field for graphical input ( mouse | Tablet | touchpad ) exists, the fault-tolerant handwritten characters examined and made ​​proposals for the clipboard, which can then be used in the other parts of the program.
