Glabridin is a chemical compound which, in the root of the licorice ( liquorice, Glycyrrhiza glabra) occurs. It is among the flavonoids.

Glabridin antioxidant and estrogenic effects are attributed.

Cosmetically Glabridin is used as a bleaching agent against pigment spots. It is also part of an oily Flavonoidextrakts from the licorice root ( " Glavonoid " ), which is added as an ingredient in functional foods or dietary supplements for weight loss.
