Gladys Cherono

Gladys Cherono (born 12 May 1983) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

In 2005 she won the Santa Pola Half Marathon and the Gava Half Marathon. In 2007, she won in the 10 km from A Coruña and the half-marathon competition of Reims à toutes jambes. The following year she was third at the Porto Half Marathon, won the half-marathon of Reims à toutes jambes and was second in the Trofeo José Cano. 2009 was followed by a second place in Porto and victories at the Valladolid - Halbamarathon, in the 10 km from A Coruña and at the Trofeo José Cano.

The end of 2011 she answered back with a victory at Zhuhai Half Marathon in the competition scene. 2012, they were each Third at RAK Half Marathon and the Prague Half Marathon. At the Track - Africa Championships in Porto Novo she managed a double win in the 5000m and 10,000 m. Then she won the Bogota Half Marathon. and the Tilburg 10 K.

2013, it introduced the Prague Half Marathon a course record and won the World 10K Bangalore. As winner of the Kenyan elimination matches in the 10,000 m she went to the IAAF World Championships in Moscow, where she won the silver medal.
