Glammsee

The Glammsee is in the northwest of the Sternberg Lake District in the district of North West Mecklenburg, Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. It is located about 23 kilometers southeast of Wismar. North of the lake lies the town of Warin. The lake has a maximum length of one kilometer and an approximate width of 660 meters and drained via the Brüeler Bach in the Baltic Sea. Only the southern shore is forested. Near the eastern shore run a disused railway line Wismar -Karow and the federal highway 192 through its urban location is used as the Glammsee recreation area, swimming and fishing. In the south of the lake adjacent to the community Blankenberg.

In Blankenberg at the south end of the lake there was a Slavic castle on Tönnisbach.
