Glasow
Glasow is a small municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald in southeastern Mecklenburg -Vorpommern. Is administered by the Office Glasow Löcknitz Penkun based in the community Löcknitz.
Geography
The community is located between Glasow Löcknitz and Penkun in a hilly landscape. About three kilometers west of the river Glasow Randow runs Randowbruch; ten kilometers east is the border with the Republic of Poland.
To Glasow heard the village Streithof, a former manor that was created to Vorwerk the village Hohenholz.
History
1497 the village was first mentioned as a village belonging to Hohenholz. The Good Glasow was sold to the Pomeranian Land Company in Szczecin 1939.
The population of Glasow is slightly declining for years.
