Glauber Rocha
Glauber Rocha Pedro de Andrade ( born March 14, 1938 in Vitória da Conquista, Brazil, † August 22, 1981 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) was a Brazilian film director and as such one of the most important representatives of the Cinema Novo.
Life
Glauber Rocha was in 1971 during the military dictatorship in Brazil voluntarily into exile. This led him to Spain and Chile to Portugal. Only a few days before he died of pneumonia, he returned to Brazil.
