Glaucias of Macedon

Glaukias (Greek Γλαυκίας ) was a Macedonian cavalry officer and companion ( Hetairos ) Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC.

Glaukias was in the year 331 BC at the Battle of Gaugamela one of the eight Schwadronenführer ( ilarchos ) the Hetairenreiterei. After that, he will not be mentioned, however, Heckel holds identification of the equestrian officer with the same follower and Cassander murderer of King Alexander IV Aigos and Roxane from the year 310 BC possible.
