Gleba

The Gleba ( German fruit mass ) refers to the fertile part angiocarper Mycology (closed fruiting bodies with preformed opening for spore dispersal) and cleistocarper (closed fruiting bodies without pre-formed opening for release of spores) Stand mushrooms. The gleba is in some types of cavities lined with hymenium, called Glebakammern. In other species, the basidia are irregularly distributed in the Gleba. In the maturation of the fruit body, a large part or all of the hyphae are degraded by autolysis, so that the Gleba the mature fruit bodies is only of spores or spores and thick-walled, hair-like hyphae of the resulting filaments. Sometimes all enclosed by the peridia parts of the fruit body are referred to as Gleba, since some parts are sterile emerged within the fruit bodies from the Gleba.
