Glen Dimplex

Glen Dimplex is an international group of companies with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland and the German subsidiary of Glen Dimplex Germany GmbH. The company is the leading manufacturer of electric heating systems, cooling systems, and household appliances. It was founded in November 1973.

Group of companies

The group employs approximately 10,000 people and has annual sales of around 2 billion euros (as of 2013). At the German sites in Kulmbach, Nuremberg and Sonnenberg about 900 employees.

The German subsidiary is divided into three divisions: Dimplex, Riedel and ewt. The division Dimplex represents the products of home automation, especially for heat pump, Electric heating, ventilation units and solar thermal. The business and the Riedel brand stands for refrigeration, with the sub- areas of water chillers, refrigeration units plus Kühlsysteme.Die equipment from households with products for floor care, electric heaters and kitchen appliances accepts ewt business in Sonneberg and Nuremberg. Riedel and Dimplex products are manufactured in Kulmbach.
