Glenda Adams

Glenda Emilie Adams, nee Felton ( born December 30, 1939 in Ryde, Sydney, † July 11, 2007 ibid ) was an Australian writer.

Life and career

Glenda Adams studied at the University of Sydney (Bachelor 1962) and Columbia University in New York (Master 1965).

In 1967, she married Gordon Adams and had a daughter. The couple divorced later.

In addition to her career as a writer was Adams lecturer at Columbia University and Sarah Lawrence College in New York, and at the University of Technology, Sydney.

In 1987 she was awarded the Miles Franklin Award for her novel Dancing on Coral. My third novel, published in 1990, Longleg, won the 1991 award The Age Book of the Year the Australian newspaper The Age.

In 2007, she died of cancer.
