Glenis Willmott

Glenis Willmott ( born March 4, 1951 in Horden, County Durham ) is a British politician of the Labour Party.

Life

Willmott studied at Nottingham Trent University Medical. From 1969 to 1990 she worked for the National Health Service at King's Mill and Mansfield Hospital. In 1990 she was working for the British trade union GMB. As the successor of Phillip Whitehead Willmott since 2006 Member of the European Parliament. Willmott is married and lives in Leicestershire.

In the period 2009-2014 is Willmott member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Delegation to the EU-Croatia Joint Parliamentary Committee. As a deputy she is in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and the Delegation for relations with the United States.
