Glenn Highway

The Glenn Highway (part of Alaska Route 1 ) is a 301 km long Highway in Alaska, which connects Anchorage to Glennallen. Together with the Tok Cut -Off ( from Glennallen to Tok ), which is often the Glenn Highway attributed, resulting in a total length of 528 km.

The origins of the highway date back to the 1930s, when the Palmer Road Anchorage association with Palmer. During the Second World War the street from the Alaska Road Commission was completed to Anchorage to Glennallen and thus to the continental highway system.
