Glenn Murcutt

Glenn Marcus Murcutt AO ( born July 25, 1936 in London) is an Australian architect. In 2002 he was awarded the Pritzker Prize.

Life

Glenn Murcutt was born in 1936 during a trip to Europe his Australian parents in London. 1936-41 he lived in Papua New Guinea. His studies at the " Technical College, University of New South Wales ", he completed 1956-61. Since 1961, Murcutt leads his own architectural practice in Australia. In 1973, he undertook extended trips to Mexico, USA, Europe. Murcutt Architecture professor is asked in Sydney and a visiting professor all over the world.

In 2002 he received the award from Time magazine Hero for the Green Century ( as the founder of the construction of zero-emission buildings).

He lives and works in Sydney, Australia.
