Glenview is a municipality ( with a status of "Village" ) in Cook County in the northeast of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010 Glenview had 44 692 inhabitants.

Geography
Glenview is located at the northern suburb of Chicago area a few kilometers west of Lake Michigan. The town is located at 42 ° 04'11 " north latitude and 87 ° 47'16 " west longitude and extending over 35 km ². The border with Wisconsin is located about 50 km north.
Neighboring towns of Glenview Wilmette are ( east ), Skokie (southeast ), Morton Grove ( south ), Des Plaines (southwest ), Prospect Heights (to the west ), Northbrook ( north ) and Northfield (northeast ).

By Gleview leads the Milwaukee District / North Line, a leading Chicago to the north line of METRA, a level comparable to an S -Bahn light rail system in the Chicagoland area.
About 4 km north-west of the township of Glenview is the Chicago Executive Airport which is mainly used for charter flights. The major international airport O'Hare International Airport is located 20.9 km south west of Glenview.
