Global Electric Motorcars
Global Electric Motorcars (GEM ) is a manufacturer of automobiles with electric drive in the United States. The company, founded in 1992 is a subsidiary of Chrysler LLC and is based in Fargo, North Dakota.
The GEM electric vehicles meet the strict California emissions standards and are used for example in holiday resorts, parks, industrial plants, military bases and in city traffic.
Technology
The vehicles that are powered by a 72 volt battery, reaching a speed of 25 mph ( 40 km / h). The range of a single charge is 30 miles ( 48 km). The batteries ( six lead-acid or lead - gel batteries each with 12 V) can be recharged from a USA standard 110V power outlet.
