Gloppen is a municipality with its capital Sandane in the Norwegian province of Sogn og Fjordane. It is bordered to the north by oath (beyond the fjord ), to the east by Stryn, to the south by Jølster and Naustdal and to the west of flora and Bremanger.

The municipality Gloppen completely encloses the branching from the Nordfjord fjords Hyen and Gloppenfjord. Particularly noteworthy is the headland Anda, which separates the Gloppenfjord from Nordfjord. On this promontory, among others, the Sandane Airport and the place Vereide is a very old church in nearby fjord.
