Gloriosae Dominae

Gloriosae Dominae is a Papal Bull, it was adopted on 27 September 1748 by Pope Benedict XIV and an explanation of Marian devotion.

Reason for Marian devotion

The Pope summed up as a reason that the Blessed Virgin Mary was always to be seen in the role of Christ the Redeemer; as they stood at the foot of the cross, she was familiar with the pain of a mother and thereby our salvation would be completed.
