Glue stick

The glue stick is a lipstick -like object. It contains an adhesive in semi-solid form as a gluing cylinder, which is pushed out by rotation of the rear end of the housing front. Through friction of the exposed adhesive surface on the material to be bonded surface of the adhesive adheres to the material.

Glue sticks are usually free of harmful solvents. As ingredients eg Polyglycosides polysaccharides and soaps are provided.

The glue stick was invented by Henkel in 1969 and was given the brand name Pritt Stick. Meanwhile, there are also glue sticks from other manufacturers, such as the HERMA glue stick, the stick or the tesa UHU stick.
