Gmina Gorlice

The Gmina Gorlice is a rural commune ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat Gorlicki in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The city is the administrative center Gorlice the rural community, you do not belong as an independent municipality on however.

Geography

The community surrounds the town of Gorlice Gorlice same almost complete and is traversed by the river Ropa. The municipality covers an area of ​​103.43 km ², of which 62 % is used for agriculture and 30 % is forested.

History

The individual districts have in part a several hundred year old history. The community Gorlice was founded on 1 January 1973. By 1982, still belonged to the sołectwo Moszczenica and Staszkówka that today the community Moszczenica form to the community. On July 1, 1991, the sołectwo Ropa from the community has been solved and has since formed the community Ropa.

From 1975 to 1998, the village belonged to the province of Nowy Sacz.

Education
