The Norwegian Ruhr herb ( Gnaphalium norvegicum ) is a plant from the sunflower family ( Asteraceae).

Features

The Norwegian Ruhr herb is a perennial plant that reaches stature heights of 10 to 30 centimeters. The stem is stiff, simple and leafy. The leaves are three annoying, green, lanceolate, loose silky - woolly and densely hairy gray-tomentose on the underside. The middle stem leaves are longer than the upper and the undergraduate. The heads are available in a leafy, stout ear. The lower leaves of the inflorescence are as long as this one. The edge of the Hüllschuppen is black brown- skinned. The flowers pale brownish. The fädlichen florets are more rows.

The flowering period extends from July to September.

Occurrence

The Norwegian Ruhr herb comes from EUR Siberia to North America. The species grows on lime-poor, slightly moist and shady locations at altitudes from 1000 to 2800 meters. It is not common.
