Gnesta Municipality

Gnesta is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Södermanland County and the historic province of Södermanland. The main town of the municipality is Gnesta.

History

The municipality was created on 1 January 1992 by division of Nykoping. In the town is also a terminus for the suburban trains ( Pendeltåg ) to Stockholm.
