Gnoll

Gnolls are fictional creatures that are usually described as human-like hyenas.

In the spelling Originally created Gnole by Lord Dunsany, the gnolls first appeared by the pen -and- paper role-playing games of the Dungeons & Dragons series in this notation on, which is indeed actually the one of the many misprints in the first edition Dungeons & Dragons rules and policies concerned ( as in Lord Dunsany was mentioned as Lord Sunsany ), but which nevertheless prevailed.

The name Gnole or Gnoll alludes to a cross between gnomes and trolls. The now dominant representation of the gnolls as hyena -like creatures created only through the publication of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual 1977. They are ( as for example in Terry Pratchett ) usually described as barbaric and aggressive, but with a certain intelligence and even language ability gifted.

Immerse yourself in various variants mainly in various roles and computer games, including Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, Metin2, Heroes of Might and Magic III, Everquest, Tales of Phantasia and Orcs Must Die, but also for example in! The Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett.
