Gnome Display Manager

Gnome Display Manager ( GDM short ) is a Display Manager from the Gnome project. " ( " The goal is that the user never needs to use the command line to to configure the GDM or fix bugs. "). Another feature with respect to the display manager xdm is the simple administration of skins. Since GDM is a part of Gnome, it is used by default in many Linux distributions. However, now draws a trend in the direction of simpler and faster display managers. Ubuntu used from 11:10 LightDM, which has only 5000 lines of code, compared to the 50,000 lines of code of GDM.
