Go down Moses

Go Down Moses (also known as "When Israel which in Egypt 's land " and "Let My People Go " ) is an American Negro Spirituals, the events of the Old Testament of the Bible describes, especially those scripture commands in the God of Moses, to Pharaoh to go and call for the release of the Israelites from Egyptian captivity slaves ("Exodus 3:10: [ ... ] Come now therefore, I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou my people the children of Israel mayest bring forth out of Egypt. " ). The song appeared in his version below in 1872 as the song " Jubilee Singers " Fisk University Nashville (USA). In a songbook of 1861, it is noted that this song was sung by slaves in Virginia.
