Goal-oriented Requirements Language

User Requirements the notation (URN) provides the ability to specify a system and to define requirements for this. It is thus possible to check these requirements for accuracy and completeness.

URN is one of the ITU -T ( Telecommunication Standardization Sector of the International Telecommunication Union) in the so-called standards ( Recommendations) defined formal description language.

A system is represented graphically in URN and includes various relationships between elements.

The main focus of URN falls on Requirements Engineering with its objectives and scenarios.

Notations

A distinction is made within URN between two notations:

Goal - oriented Requirements Language ( GRL )

The Goal - oriented Requirements Language ( GRL ) is a graphical notation for modeling non-functional requirements (non-functional requirements ). It enables project requirements graphically and highlight difficult contexts. It is also possible to evaluate the resulting project plan graphically.

Use Case Maps ( UCM)

Use Case Maps ( UCM) graphically describe the functional requirements (functional requirements ) of a software system. They describe precise sequences that are similar to MSC diagrams. It is possible to represent a control flow and distribute various tasks to various plugins and assign actors.
