Gobba di Rollin

The Gobba di Rollin ( Gobba (Italian ) = hump, hump, double Dos de Rollin ) is 3'899 m above sea level. M. the highest point of the plateau near the Breithorn in Zermatt. The mountain is 83 m Vertical separation an independent, flat glacier summit, which is mountaineering insignificant.

With an altitude of 3'899 m Gobba di Rollin is the highest point of a ski area in Europe, the Theodulgletscher has its origin here. Gobba di Rollin lies on the border between Switzerland and Italy. The plateau begins at the Klein Matterhorn, stretches to Gobba di Rollin, and then falls off sharply on the Italian side. Often you count also the south side of the Breithorn to the plateau, although that side of the peak increases slightly ( 4,164 m).

Two ski lifts lead to Gobba di Rollin, both on the Swiss side.
